What Is Freemasonry ?
Interested In Becoming A Freemason ?
The esential qualification for admission to Freemasonry is that you have a belief in a Supreme Being.
It is usual for candidates to be “mature men of 21 years and over”, but in some circumstances candidates between the ages of 18 and 21 can be admitted.
If you feel you would like to become a Freemason, in the first instance speak to someone you know who is already one, but if you don’t know anyone take the opportunity of reading the various booklets and guidance on the United Grand Lodge of England’s website which will help you to understand the steps involved in joining Freemasonry.
Then please contact us - you will need to tell us about yourself and your reasons for wanting to join. Arrangements will then be made to meet you informally so as to find out about you and to give you the opportunity to find out about us and our organisation. All being well, you will then be invited to meet a few of our members prior to being balloted for membership of Sparkenhoe, and subject to that, a date could then be fixed for your admission.
